News & Activities

There’s never a dull moment here at Seabourne House. We aim to eradicate feelings of loneliness and depression through engaging residents with exciting daily activities and outings. Here at our luxury care home in Bournemouth, everyone has a choice, whether that’s opting out of an activity or a day trip that they originally signed up for.

What do we get up to?

Afternoons are usually filled with arts and crafts, games, bingo and singing, while trips to the beach (we rent two beach huts!) and pub lunches are a common occurrence.  We often have local schools and organisations come in for a cup of tea and a chat, and sometimes we’ll even have visitors of the furry kind!

Here at Seabourne House, we’re always getting out and about. Take a look below to see some of the things that we’ve recently got up to:

  • Looking round the Tank Museum and traipsing through the trenches
  • Trips to the New Forest
  • A wonder around Hobbycraft to pick up some essentials
  • Going to the theatre to watch a show
  • Trips to other local museums and galleries

Introducing the Seabourne Supplement – our monthly newsletter

Here at Seabourne House, we like to let everyone know what we’ve been up to over the month. With so many activities and exciting days out packed into our schedule, it’s only right that we let everyone know how much fun we’ve had!  We also use the letter to inform you about other things happening at our Bournemouth care home, including fetes and outdoor games events where friendly competition is encouraged.

Fun at Seabourne

What’s more, there’s plenty of fun to be had here at Seabourne House. Our residents regularly enjoy the following activities:

  • Hymns and Poetry
  • Olympic Games and Skittles
  • Bingo, Scrabble and Jenga
  • Vintage tea party and Mad Hatter Tea Party
  • Fayres and fetes
  • Baking
  • Horse racing

Of course lots of fun is had when it comes to celebrating birthdays and indulging in our cheese and wine afternoons too!
