About Us

Seabourne House is considered to be one of the best luxury care homes in Bournemouth for those with and without dementia.
Catering for all stages of dementia, we have 48 large en-suite rooms which span across three floors. Three of the rooms are doubles, allowing for couples to remain together if they wish.

Decorated to facilitate the independence of those who have dementia, Seabourne House exists to mitigate any confusion and fear that residents may feel as an effect of memory loss.

Using visual cues, sensory reminders and gentle direction if required, the staff at Seabourne House are committed to ensuring that the residents feel as independent as possible. In turn, this helps to lower the level of frustration, agitation and anger that people with dementia may experience when confusion and fear arises.

Seabourne House is situated a short stroll from the gorgeous Southbourne beach. The residents, with the assistance of care staff, regularly get to experience the delights of living so close to the beautiful Dorset coastline.

Staff and Training

Seabourne House Care Home is led by a fully integrated team of staff; from management and heads of care right through to caregivers and the support staff, everyone works hard to ensure that each persons’ specific needs are met.
Upon employment, all care staff are given a two-week induction, regardless of their experience. This initial preparation includes practical, hands-on training to ensure capability under all circumstances.
They are then given additional support through a buddy system and are continuously assessed and monitored to ensure that the care they deliver meets the high standards expected by LuxuryCare.
Throughout their time at Seabourne House, all staff are given the opportunity to work towards a diploma in care. We also actively encourage staff to gain additional qualifications and work towards promotion within the company.
